This is not a TV sitcom, this is a lifestyle manual, and essential viewing for any genre fan. Spaced revolves around the life's of two seemingly lost 20 some-things, would be writer Daisy and comic artist Tim, and their collection of friends. Written by the two main stars, Jessica Stevenson and Simon Pegg, the series takes many of the hallmarks of great sitcom writing to new levels by peppering the episodes with as many cultural references as they can fit in. Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Scooby Doo and every war movie ever are all squeezed into this show, in such an effortless and loving way that you can tell the producers care about this material as much as you do. Camera work and direction are every bit as groundbreaking as the scripts. Whats so great is that everyone involved in the series is clearly having so much fun.
