Disappointing
Review date: 2010-09-07 Rating: 6 out of 10
No character development, no decent plots, just a boring movie. I fell asleep twice during fight scenes. This movie had good actors, but a really boring script and plot....

Robin Hood - Extended Director's Cut LimitedReview date: 2010-09-05 Rating: 2 out of 10I new nothing about this film before I saw it, so had no pre-conceived ideas.
But this is just not "Robin Hood".If it had been called something else my review may well have been a little different. But at the end of the day this story makes no sense at all. Most people are aware of the "Robin Hood" adventure, and this just is not that story. Someone has just decided to forget all we know, and start again. Even down to when "Richard the Lion Heart" dies. I will not spoil the film by giving you the plot, but if you are a purist give this film a miss. "Russell Crow" sounds like a northerner, who can't get is accent right, because no-won in Nottingham sounds like this. The film is way to long in it's Cinema size, so to have an extended cut is just not on. In my op-ion this is "Russell Crows" worst film, and I for one will not be buying it.UK customers miss out againReview date: 2010-09-03 Rating: 8 out of 10not a film review but more to point out the US are getting a blu-ray/dvd/digital copy of the film were as us UK customers will have to buy one or the other with no DC copy to be seen. even though the US version is multi region it would be pointless as you can not download the DC without a US itunes account. shame really the UK dips out againWorst Film of the year?Review date: 2010-09-03 Rating: 2 out of 10Went to see this at the cinema as I wasn't prepared to believe all the prerelease flak it received, but wish i hadnt. Historically inaccurate, poor acting, where do these actors think they're from, different accents every 5 minutes, and as for the ending, soo unbelievable, watch for the final arrow, the camp sheriff and those French Landing Craft is all Ill say if you do decide to watch this. Honestly, Kevin Costner's version was better, thats how bad this is.
I'd like to be constructive at some point, but cant find any redeeming feature, needless to say I wont be buying the DVD.Scott's worst film..Review date: 2010-08-31 Rating: 4 out of 10"Robin Hood" is certainly a handsome film as most Ridley Scott films are. And uh..that's it.
It's also boring, overlong, flat and uninvolving. Russell Crowe gives the performance of a sullen potato with an accent that liberally veers from Yorkshire, Liverpudlian to Irish. Thankfully, at least Cate Blanchett is as dependable an actress as ever (even if she also can't decide on Pride and Prejudice or Last Of the Summer Wine accent wise).
Shame, it could have been alright without Scott's ongoing obsession with Crowe no matter what (who can, it must be said, be great in other period films like "Master and Commander").
Half asleep and eye off the ball, Ridley.
