This abosolutely rocks as a show, much better than I expected.
Can't wait for season 2 - seen some of them already but trying to save them for when released on dvd as its released in its full picture-ratio(same as the movies, cinemascope - 2.40:1) so it, visually, ties into the actual movies. Really liked the prequels, more so than the originals (always felt cheated that they had'nt told us the back story - asked us to accept things we had no idea about - and drip-fed us bits which made me think that I would like to see the events that led up to them and how it turned really pear shaped for their universe).
Ultimately, we know whats going to happen but the journey will be an interesting one. These events fill in what happens between movies 2 & 3 and ther is something like a 10 year gap if I remember rightly, so ther is lots of subterfuge, political powerplay and general nastieness going on.
It is aimed at the family as the movies are but it does'nt detract from great story telling by people who get what star wars (as a whole) is about. also has a nice sense of humour which can be lost on the younger audience and their not afraid to show the odd lightsabre blade appearing through a human chest but obviously not linger to long.
Said it before but will say it again, ROLL ON season 2, 3, etc..............

this is a review of the clone wars blue ray dvd first the picture quality which is stunning one of the best blue ray disk i have and i have over 10 blue rays .this clone wars dvd set is a must for all star wars fans ,it contains over 500 hours of pure entertainment ,22 episodes of the season 1 series in stunning 1080p ,i was a little hesitant at first in buying them but i went ahead and wow i was glad i did,all the episode have a featurette .
i found the preq star wars a little boring ,the clone wars fills the gap and expands the star wars universe in a entertaining fashion ,if you like star wars you will not be disapointed with the clone wars series ,very good and stunning picture .

Enjoyable without being annoying,o.k JAR JAR is still a pain[but isn't in it very often] THe annimation style works well especially when doing the clone troopers,battle droids,and space ship battles,of wich there are lots.Have fun spotting the referances to the films,especially the dialogue.Then watch the featurettes and see how they went about it,each episode/plus featurrette lasts just over half an hour,so ideal for a regular STAR WARS fix.
You won't have a bad feeling about this.

starwars the clone wars series 1, im a star wars fan and have always loved the spin offs from the star wars series ,
the clone wars season 1 is set between episode 2 &3 same as the cartoon network clone wars cartoon.
loads of great atcion , u get to know the clones more , and a few new jedi and whats really great is u hardly ever see that annoying Ja-Ja binks in the series :)
so if ur a die hard star wras fan like me u will love star wars the clone wars season 1 buy it u wont regret it :)

Clone Wars.
Initially I was disappointed with the angular computer graphics. But I quickly forgot because the mood is quite the same as in the real Star Wars movies. It's great with more Star Wars adventures. I have both the Clone Wars movie and TV series because the stories are different. I hope they make more seasons.
