I so agree with Anna-lena!!
Review date: 2008-11-12 Rating: 6 out of 10
Oh, how I agree with Anna-lena Berg! I really love David Suchet as Hercule Poirot, but the new series is not as good as I expected. Third Girl : David Baker should really be the bad guy - I was totally shocked that they changed the story. The same thing with Appointemnt with Death - very dissapointing. Mrs. MacGuinty is ok and Cat among the pidgeons too.

It has subtitles!Review date: 2008-11-10 Rating: 10 out of 10Just want everyone to know that this dvd has subtitles. I don't know why amazon.co.uk is so lousy when it comes to letting customers know, so that's why I tell you instead. The best of the best!!!!Review date: 2008-11-03 Rating: 10 out of 10I ordered this set on Friday evening and received it on Monday morning, and I live in Romania!!!! Good job Amazon.co.uk. :)
Now about the movies, what can I say ??? Is there anything else to say that wasn't said?
This is the best television ever made.
Congrats David Suchet which is truly the best Poirot until now and I doubt there will be anyone else to top him.
I recommend this to everyone visiting this site, trust me you won't regret!
The only thing this set doesn't have is BONUS features. A 30 minutes "making of" would have been perfect. Too bad.David Suchet is still excellentReview date: 2008-11-03 Rating: 6 out of 10In Germany we do not see very much of the Poirot series (what a shame!). So I was thrilled first to read about the new episoded and then to get the new DVD-set 7. Last weekend I saw Appointment with Death. And was so disappointed! Probably we have to be thankful that the series is called Poirot. Otherwise they would even have removed this character! That you can fill with Agathas novel ninety minutes quite well was shown in the first version by Michael Winner already. So why on earth did they remove several characters to add no less than five new ones plus completely new plots around them? Why did they change the whole motive? About half way through the film I said to my wife that probably there will be a new murderer. Well, surprisingly they did not change that. But the murderer needs help now. Why? Even the again really excellent and partly well-known cast plus the again typical and excellent decoration of the period cannot really save the film. As I wrote above David Suchet is still excellent (and that's why I still give three stars). He is exactly like I always imagined Poriot. And I still hope that they will as I discovered on the net do four more films in 2009 and another four in 2010. The last of these will be "Curtain" and then all Poirot novels will be filmed. But I really hope that they do get back to filming along the novel. If the script writer has a good idea for a film he or she should write it. But please do not say it's based on Agathas novels! By the way in one written opinion it was asked, why they filmed in Syria. They did not. It was filmed in Marocco. As I could not see Petra (something I wanted to do since I read Agatha's novel for the first time) in this film I'll have to go there on my own next year!!!Perfect Poirot PackagingReview date: 2008-10-27 Rating: 10 out of 10What I liked about this DVD package, apart from the actual content , was the packaging. Unlike other cash-ins, the box set conforms to the previous 6 Collections. To inform others, the box contains two Amaray cases, with two DVDs/episodes per case, ,similar to other ITV DVDs like "Lewis".
