PLOT SUMMARY: Mr. and Mrs. Bennet have five unmarried daughters, and Mrs. Bennet is especially eager to find suitable husbands for them. When the rich single gentlemen Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy come to live nearby, the Bennets have high hopes. But pride, prejudice, and misunderstandings all combine to complicate their relationships and to make happiness difficult. ABOUT THE DVD: This is a WARNER BROS release for the NETHERLANDS market (Region 2 PAL format, which is the same as in the UK, so it will play without problems on all standard DVD players in the UK and the rest of Europe). The text on the rear of the packaging is in Dutch. The AUDIO is the original ENGLISH language (with an Italian option available too). SUBTITLES on the disc include English, Italian, French or Dutch. The film is presented in BLACK AND WHITE and in FULL SCREEN format (4:3 ratio) and runs for a total of 113 minutes. The disc also has a Scene Selection menu (all menus are in English), and Special Features on the DVD include the film's original theatrical trailer, and two short films 'Eyes Of The Navy' and 'The Fishing Bear' (a cartoon).
