The first"Get Smart"movie".

As a fan of the original 1965 HBO series "Get Smart",i bought this first film version from 1980.I already had the second film "Get Smart again",from 1989.The initial reaction i had while watching was to compare it to Sean Connery's last bond picture "Never say never again".That bond film was not "official" and didn't have the old Bond music, a different "M", etc.This film looks the same,the old music has gone,Barbara Feldon who played agent 99 has gone,the old "control" has gone, even Smarts trade mark car has gone.All these returned in the next film "get Smart again".Don Adams who played Maxwell Smart still looks in good shape and the film is still amusing in parts but overall it's a let down.The best part is a chase scene through Universal studios during one of the outside tours.
