Amazing performance from Jonas Ball
Review date: 2008-05-18 Rating: 10 out of 10
The performance of newcomer Jonas Ball is utterly gripping. Whilst one always knows the outcome the film manages to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Very stylish direction and I gather a British funded film - it certainly deserved its Bafta nomination

good but not greatReview date: 2008-05-03 Rating: 6 out of 10Intriguing more than engaging. This film is brooding and intense but relentlessy bleak. I wasn't expecting laughs but there are no modulations in tone and overall I found it hard to lose myself in this authentic-feeling, but overlong psychological study. I'd recommend renting it over buying it.
Artistic documentary and insight into the mind of Mark ChapmanReview date: 2008-02-04 Rating: 10 out of 10This film is a must for anyone who is intrigued by the persona of the man behind the murder of John Lennon. The film is shot in a documentary style manner but the artistic direction makes this production enthralling and terribly engaging. The mental health of the killer is the main focus of this film and the viewer is given an insight into the workings of this sick man's mind. The writer and director went to great lengths to research all documents written about Mark Chapman and so the story is as true to life as it could possibly be. A masterpiece!
