Synopsis
Cryptologist James Murphy (Brian Krause, CHARMED) discovers that the bloodthirsty Loch Ness monster has relocated to Lake Superior with her spawn and is intent on terrorising the local population. Murphy, who has tangled with Nessie on a previous occasion with calamitous results, sets out to take down the man-eating reptile.
PLEASE! CAN WE HAVE NESSIE BACK HOME?................................
Review date: 2008-05-22 Rating: 8 out of 10
Nessis has upped bag and baggage and moved to Lake Superior. Presumably she tired of all the rubber-neckers looking for her in Loch Ness. Or perhaps, she is looking for love. In this film, she presumably finds it for she is producing eggs faster than a Rhode Island Red.
James Murphy sees his father consumed by Nessie back in the mid seventies, gets himself a degree in cryptozoolology, and dressed like Indiana Jones (or is it Eastwood), dedicates his life to seeking her out with a view to a kill...............Some Scientist..............surely he would forgive her and do his utmost to preserve the species! Anyway, better armed than Andy McNab, he arrives at Lake Superior, and broodingly starts the hunt whilst chewing on his cigar.
Not a bad little movie. It does not stretch the grey cells and the action is fast.
But please! Can we have her home? She has behaved herself in Loch Ness for centuries and we love and miss her..................
BUT WHERE IS HER HUSBAND?

A decent enough monster movie Review date: 2008-05-03 Rating: 6 out of 10There ARE Scottish accents here, at the start of the movie by the shore of Loch Ness in 1976 when a monster attacks a group of scientists leaving one 12 year old boy alive.
Switch to modern times and the USA/Canadian border and a beast is sighted in Lake Superior and the boy survivor from Loch Ness, who has now grown up and become a cryptozoologist who dresses like Indiana Jones (Brian Krause), he travels there to get revenge on the beast that killed his father. The beast has travelled through underwater passages and crossed the Atlantic to start a reign of terror.....that explains why no one has seen it in Scotland for years....
It's not a bad movie but it's not a great one either. The effects are Ok but not outstanding, the creatures are suitably menacing but although the beasts are amphibians almost all of the attack scenes are on land.
The "making of..." documentary is interesting and the actors seem to be enjoying themselves. I love these creature features anyway and will certainly be watching this one again. BIG LONG NECK BUT LACKED THE BITE!!Review date: 2008-04-23 Rating: 2 out of 10This was not good it was slightly better than Lake Placid 2 and if you haven't seen that you haven't missed much. Bottom line better but not by much as for the so called special effects they were below average it just lacked really from the word go. If you are into to these sort of monster films it is well worth a watch if not it would be best to stay clear.Excellent! I finally get a nessie monster movieReview date: 2008-01-19 Rating: 10 out of 10Now, I dont believe Nessie would be a terror like the monster in this, probably happy eating fish. However, if your a huge fan of watching monster movies like me, particularly bad ones like shark attack 3, you'll be very impressed with this. The monster is georgous, really well done. Luckily the American's have managed to choose a location (nowhere near Scotland or Scottish people) that actually resemble Scotland - to a degree. Although I did notice that all the characters were American, not a Scottish accent to be seen. I really enjoyed this, Buy it!!!!
