AwesomeReview date: 2008-11-10 Rating: 10 out of 10Brilliant album,no soppy ballards here, all killer,no filler as they say. This is the sort of album the Darkness should have made (and were capable of).Every track a classic.Seen the band live and they are incredible, like AC/DC but on speed.Buy it now and sell your grandmother if you have to,to get tickets for a live show.
AC Who?Review date: 2008-10-31 Rating: 10 out of 10This is a great debut, and having seen them live at Sweden Rock, I can confirm that they can cut it live as well, and are by far the most energetic band I have seen in 30 years of gig going.
Whilst the AC/DC comparisons are valid, there's also a bit of Rose Tattoo and Cinderella in there as well.
Having heard the new AC/DC album and being thoroughly underwhelmed, I'm wondering if I feel no enthusiasm for the new AC/DC because this album is so strong.
If you like straight ahead rock you cannot go wrong with this album.short sharp shockReview date: 2008-10-29 Rating: 10 out of 10Their debut album hardly dissappoints as even though its short at 35 minutes its enough to give you a sharp shock to the system with the boys rocking out on tracks like "Too Much, Too Young, too fast" and "Runnin Wild", "Diamond in the rough" "Heartbreaker" which is in a similar vein to the much loved if underrated aussie rockers Rose Tattoo rather than the sex boogie of AC/DC.
If they do not let any internal strife or the demonic curse of sex drugs and rock n roll prevent them from fufilling their potential even further then they could become legends of their own making.
shamelessly enjoyable Review date: 2008-10-15 Rating: 10 out of 10This short CD (35 min) is just purely enjoyable non-stop foot-stomping rock music. Not much to add to all the previous reviews - obviously it sounds just like ac/dc, riffs verge on ac/dc copies sometimes, but this group of young guys really rock. I bought this on the good word of all the amazon reviews and I have not been disappointed. From what I have heard of the new AC/DC album coming out, it is not as good as this. They have given their torch to some one else: Airbourne.
