I already own Pingu Forever but bought this thinking that the other 2 DVDs(snowboarder+toy shop) will be as long as Pingu Forever but was mistaken....... Overall, superb deal if buying for the 1st time.

this is brill and will keep the kids entertained for ages, but buy it brand new at tesco for £5.00!

I have fond memories of watching Pingu about 10 years ago with my daughters. They loved the antics of this cheeky bird and his mate, the seal. For us sophisticated parents, Pingu was the subversive alternative to the sanitised nauseating purity of Spot and other such sickingly innocent drivel. Here was a character who wee'd, sat on the toilet (!) and got angry/swore or whatever other expression was possible with his choice phrase. A decade later and he has not aged - indeed his antics seem even more humorous... The Fishing episode is wonderful (pure slapstick), the episode with the Grandfather and accordian poignant and the one when we runs away will have you in tears. We watched it this week and everyone was laughing - how many shows have such cross-generational appeal? The later episodes aren't as good but this box-set is value just for the classic Pingu Forever. Buy it now! Nug nug!
