Let's Us Know That We're Being Spied On........................
Review date: 2010-09-01 Rating: 10 out of 10

At Sir Ian Hathcock-Waggerstaff's Caravan Manor, we're always concerned about forceful state intrusion into our personal space. This documentary let's us shield our sensitive areas with foreknowledge. The Anti-New World Order Society of the manor comments as follows:

1. MOTHER - That old dude looks like he's not above looking up a lady's skirt to get intel.....that's why I wear mirrored thongs.

2. Jabber - Makes me regret not becoming a body double for Beckham in his spying on Britney. She doesn't want to be a Spice Girl, OK!

3. Father O'Hair - How come they can know what's happening in Karachi, but not the loo by the tube?

4. Sir Ian Hathcock-Waggerstaff - I think there's a camera in the tube route I like best.

5. Marie - Opine pending.

I wonder if there has been a change of writers or producers in this series?

There was a certainly a change of style. Rather than hard hitting individual episodes of previous series, it follows a story thread which became rather tedious. This thread revolves around Iran obtaining nuclear capability and by episode 5, I didn't really care one way or the other.

A degree of unbelievabilty also crept in. For example, at one point in episode 5 Adam Carter is on the run from the police and is dashing randomly through thoroughfares, when another character appears in a car alongside, out of the blue, to rescue him. It was far too serendipitous for me! It undermined the credibility of the train of events.

In saying this, the series is still worth watching. It is streets ahead of the similar US programmes with their single dimentional 'Barbie' and 'Ken' characters.

NB: I do wish though, that the characters weren't written out of the series with such frequency.
