This is an absolute must buy, if you're worried it'll e the same old jokes from mock the week DON'T. Highly origional, very quick, very energetic, wonderfully wacky and all the other cliche's. If you get 1 stand up dvd this year make it this one.

Not that funny

I own a lot of comedy DVDs, I watch a lot of live comedy, I watch a lot of TV comedy, I like comedy. I was suprised just how poor the comedy is in this DVD, Russell Howard seems to have very funny lines on Mock the Week, and it seemed I was not to be disappointed with the first few minutes of this DVD. However for the remainder (all except the last few minutes) I was staring blankly at the screen waiting for the man to say something vaguely funny. I am sorry Russell but your live routines just don't transfer to DVD which is a shame as I thought you might be at the leading edge of the 'new' comics (Frankie Boyle/Jimmy Carr/Sean Lock etc), lets hope like a good cheese he matures.

I have just got this DVD and watched it, it was absolutely hilarious, if you like his Apollo stuff you will love this.
Beware there are times with a fair amount of swearing but the way he does it is comedy gold.
Extra is nothing special, the main segment is 1 hour and 9 minutes long.
In my opinion it is totally worth it, great DVD and a good buy.

This dvd is amazing! i didnt actually see this show but some of the jokes are familiar from his tv apearences from around that time (live at the apollo) BUT dont let that put u off! there is still so much more that you havnt seen and he says it in such a way it dosent matter if u have heared it before, it still seams like the funniest thing on the planet. In short this man is a legend, his humor is intellegently thought out and interspersed with off track improv. amazing. I saw his new tour "dingle dodies" at the apollo a couple of weeks ago and i just cant wait for it to be released on dvd. This dvd is a must have for anyone with the slightest sense of whats funny.

Love Russell Howard on mock the week but this Dvd is simply unfunny and I switched it off after 10 minutes as it was pretty awful.I did manage to get through the rest but to be honest not my cup of tea at all.I can see why people reviewing may find it funny but I found it bland and childish.However this comedian does have potential if he just stops wittering on so heres to the next one.I would not see him live on this performance as I think I would leave before the interval.However give him time and a little more polish and funny observations and he could become quite decent but still has a heck of a way to go.
