If you're a Highlander Fan, just dont waste your life!
Review date: 2008-06-09 Rating: 2 out of 10

This film is awful, you watched expecting answers, what you got was an ending obviously written by an idiot who had obviously never seen the other movies, this film is beyond terrible, it does not honor the original beginings and the ending will leave you feeling angry and ripped off.

I hope that they decide to disown this movie in the same same way that they did with Highlander 2, so that someone can produce a film with a fitting end for a story that originally started so well.

And I thought Highlander3 was bad
Review date: 2008-05-20 Rating: 2 out of 10

To keep it short and sweet do NOT waste your money. The only mercy in my mind about this movie was the fact that I hired it rather than buy it. After watching that complete rubbish with Mario van Peebles a few years ago I never thought that this franchise could sink any lower, unfortunately I was wrong. The script was a childish, the acting worse and a full description of the direction/camera work would require me to use an excessive amount of profane language.

Almost so bad it's good....but not quite

Worse than Highlander 2? Now let's not say things we can't take back. Certainly worse than 4 and once Christopher Lambert bails on your franchise you really should think twice about carrying on but who am I to judge.

I've always figured the second in the series went horribly wrong as they were making it and they just ended up with a terrible mess by accident. This actually appears like they did it all on purpose and the "making of" seems to support this. Jaw droppingly awful "re-imaginings" of Queen numbers from the original accompany slow motion images of the cast walking through some trees. Over reliance on CGI without the budget to get away with it and a trully bizarre re-cap of the entire film in the last two minutes just for those who couldn't keep up with the less than complex plot (or more likely those who couldn't be bothered to try!)

I love the series but as another reviewer suggests it might be best to close your eyes tight and pretend there were never any sequels or spin offs!

There Can be Only....Endless Pointless Sequels
Review date: 2008-03-25 Rating: 2 out of 10

The first Highlander film is an all time classic that never lent itself to having a sequel. I've seen several of them of the years and they are all, without exception, TERRIBLE!!! This is by far the worst. The script is as ridiculous/confusing/cringeworthy as the acting. There is an infinte gulf between this dross and the original. In fact, it's so woofully bad that it doesn't even justify a full review (I've already spent more than enough of my life on it). Give it an extremely wide berth. Can we start a petition to stop whoever funds the making of this series of ever-worstening garbage?

It's good for what it is

Face it, Highlander films will never get a good budget, and they have all been rubbish since the first film!

What you have here is the perfect film for those come home late at night drunk and need something to watch (much like jason x). The acting isn't great and neither is the story but the was a good effort by all involved.

Personally, I like the film but I wasn't expecting the world unlike many reviewers.
