A Good Slasher

This movie is good.
If the pacing would have been faster and the acting would have been better it would have been a classic. It's still a good slasher to watch on night. Definatley original.
Watch it if you like slashers, but you have been warned that if you are an adult who wouldn't like santa to be a killer then don't watch it.
Don't watch the sequel "Part 2". It realy sucked.
I'm not sure about the 3rd. I wana see it though.
Can anyone tell me how i can get the third one to the uk please on dvd or if it is also sold in the uk on vhs let me know.

The great review above says it all really BUT i have a question,on the dvd cover under FEATURES it does say Theatrical Trailer but on the disk there is no sign of it? is this a printing error or is there a hidden Easter Egg that i cant find? it's a real shame as i've seen the trailer elsewhere and its great! can anyone help with my question please? originally called"slayride"this dvd sparked much controversy in 1985 to be
banned or cut,& that was,until now! little billy chapman witnesses his father shot dead & mother raped & killed by santa claus & not surprisingly
he hates christmas! he & his younger brother are taken in by a brutal sadistic orphanage run by a wicked witch of a mother superior who beats billy when he is caught spying on a couple having sex,she even beats them! @ 18 he gets a job in a toy shop & with christmas looming again his
boss dresses him up as ? youve guessed it,old st.nick! this sets his madness spiralling out of control & he murders all those who he says has
been naughty ! the only bits i could see a problem with is billy getting
the strap by mother superior & the little girl whos sister & boyfriend are killed is asked"have you been naughty or good?"with an axe behind his
back! she replies"good" & he gives her a bloody stanley knife? he goes back
to the orphanage to finish the wicked witch & the police shoot him! oh how much i wanted him to kill her! the extras contain a commentary & a series
of newspaper reports damning the film reading "this ruins kids perception
of xmas" my answer is this movie IS NOT FOR KIDS,if you dont like it dont
buy it! its a bloody good forgotten 80s gem,merry christmas folks,ho,ho,ho
