A long time coming..

Finally after 28 years, this has been released. A true classic from the heyday of ITV productions. The subject matter is very risqué, even by today's standards. In fact, the series covers a few subjects that probably would be cut from a production today. The writing style is very natural and bold and isn't the least bit self conscious. There are a lot of laughs and Maureen Lipman is perfect as the strong agony page writer / radio personality who seems to have as many problems in her personal life as those seeking her help.
The picture quality is OK for something this old but, no effort has been made at restoration so there are one or two glitches in sound and picture quality - for which apologies are made on the back cover.
My only gripe is that it's not long enough. When the end credits of episode six roll, you're left hungry for more. Hopefully series two won't be long for release.
