This volume contains episodes 9 - 12.
This volume starts with a particularly uneventful episode as far as action goes. This is very much an episode of 'father and son' moments. Sho is questioning his own feeling of self as he comes to terms with the fact that he might be a clone, though he still has all his memories intact - he is now aware of the immense regenerative power of the Guyver unit.
His dad is obviously troubled by his son's absence, but doesn't want to appear over-protective. The awkwardness is brilliantly portrayed and you get a genuine idea of how he must be feeling via shots of him sleeping at the dining table with his son's dinner covered up to keep it fresh.
Over the following three episodes a new character is introduced and Sho's family and friends are in peril. It's here that the series seems a bit formulaic - those of us who are familiar with the story know that it will change quite dramatically further along, but for now there appears to be a regular repetition of trouble and last minute rescue.
Following the rescue we get rest and recouporation, and again a very quiet episode that may disappoint action fans.
In a nutshell: We see Sho dealing with the relationships with those close to him who discover his secret. Although these four episodes are slower paced, the first one (episode 9) is the strongest of the four on this volume. The way the series deals with Sho's dad is very touching and emphasises the fact that we are not getting mindless violence. The following three episodes aren't as strong, but they are essential as they introduce characters and concepts which are key to the rest of the series.

Ok now this is just getting silly.....Review date: 2007-12-27 Rating: 10 out of 10Before i say my review i would just like to say the person that writ the review on volume 1 with the title "Goku vs Guyver" and volume 2 aswell Iam that person. The reason why the user name is different is becasue something went wrong. But iam back to doing reviews now.
This is the 3rd volume of the Guyver series. In this volume Shos friends and his dad get kidnapped by Chronos and him and Guyver 3 go to rescue them. They are also accomponyed by a man with a large gun called Miracami. Or something like that. Thats what pretty much happens in this volume.
This was by far the worst Guyver volume yet. The 1st episode was boring and rushed. And like they did with the last volume they didnt do many mega smashers. Well they did but wasnt as good as the 1st volumes mega smashers. The last episode was the real let down. It was about guyver 3s past. Who even cares about Guyver 3 anyway? Guyver 2 was better. Although all the negative points this volume was at parts good. The lost number cammandoes were cool. Also in the 3rd episode you get to see Guyver 3 get pretty badly beaton up by some Hyperzoanoid team. I forgot what they were called. Sorry.
The worst one so far but when you see the preview of volume 4 its looks much better. So if your a fan of the series continue to watch it.
