(Un)Deadly Cargo
Review date: 2008-10-26 Rating: 8 out of 10

A plane is travelling from Los Angeles to Paris. Its also got something dangerous in the cargo hold, something that gets released during a storm. Soon the passengers and crew are fighting for their lives as ever increasing hordes of zombies munch their way through the remaining unaffected on board.
Well thats basically the plot. Its really a mixture of all those Airport movies of the 1970's(theres a professional golfer on board, the pilots making his last flight, the usual cheating couples) and standard zombie fare. It doesnt break any new ground, is cheesy as hell, but also happens to be very, very entertaining.
Whilst its no Dawn Of The Dead, it does engage the viewer, and I know it sounds crazy, but you do care what happens to the remaining passengers. The standout performance comes from Kevin J. O'Connor who is his usual entertaining self as sarcastic know it all felon Frank, constantly coming out with pithy comments. The special effects are excellent too.
A very entertaining ride. 4 out of 5

My Favourite Zombie Flick
Review date: 2008-09-28 Rating: 10 out of 10

Flight of the Living Dead is best zombie film I have ever seen.

A scientist, Dr Leo Bennett (Erick Avari) is transporting the contaminated wife of a fellow scientist from LA to Paris aboard a passenger aircraft. During the flight, the plane travels through an enormous storm and because of the turbulance, the wife escapes from confinment, kills the guard in the hold, breaks out into the cabin and the battle between the living and undead begins.

Its up to a cop Burrows (David Chisum), a crook Frank (Kevin J. O'Conner), an Air Marshall Paul (Richard Tyson), a stewardess Megan (Kristen Kerr), a golf-pro Billy (Derek Webster) and his wife Anna (Sienna Goines) to survive and land the plane before they become a meal for one of their fellow passengers.

Great film, just don't take it seriously.

Good fun little horror flick
Review date: 2008-09-04 Rating: 6 out of 10

Was apprehensive in purchasing this, but what a shock. Such a fun camp little Zombie horror flick !! Zombies are similar to those of Dawn of the Dead Remake.

Okay, if this film was filmed back in the late 80s early 90s this would of taken off big time at leading cinemas, because some of the special effects are a little wobbly, special with the fighter plane and 747 flying next to each other was straight to dvd.

Oh.... and finally,...... the scene with the umbrella is original and so much fun.

For the reviewer who only gave it 1 star, and states they love the Zombie genre ???? what were you watching ????? there have been 100s of stupid and horrendous zombie films over the years, that should of never been put to celloid. Okay, there are a few parts in the film that you think ` hold on, that could never happen ' . Firing machine guns, bullets flying everywhere, bomb etc..... but plane never decomparess !! But because the film is tongue in cheek, you only think of it at the time, and not bothered through rest of film.

If you are looking for a good little fun gore fest, then purchase this one, I am sure ! you will NOT be disappointed. Two thumbs up

Flight of the Living Dead

Not much to add about this other than the first half of the film is a little over-long; can't see the point of this given that most of the characters are butchered half way through the movie. Only George A. Romero appears to be able to blend successful character affiliation with Zombie action (and of course social commentary) in my opinion. But this is not meant to be so refined!

Therefore, getting to the point! The last 45 minutes are excellent if you rate it on zombie action. Really enjoyable!

UMBRELLA
Review date: 2008-04-12 Rating: 6 out of 10

THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS FILM IS IT COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD

THE PROBLEM IS FOR THE FIRST 45 MINUTES YOU DO NOT SEE ANY ZOMBIES

WHEN THE ACTION DOES FINALLY GET GOING IT IS QUITE FUNNY

IF YOU WANT SEE A ZOMBIE GET KILLED BY A UMBRELLA THIS IS IT.
