Synopsis
At a decadent 1930s party, two very sexy and utterly shameless young
women, Nathalie (Véronique Catanzaro) and Éliane (Cornella Wilms), make a bet with a rich and handsome young Baron to corrupt two innocent teenagers in order to ruin their families' reputations. The prize on offer is marriage to the wealthy Baron.
The innocent and beautiful Nathalie, the illegitimate child of an aristocrat, seeks revenge on her father, Leroy-Murville (Henri-Jacques Huet). She is hired as the private teacher of her half-sister, sexy Sophie (Katya Strambi), and revenge
takes shape using the most depraved teaching methods.
Meanwhile, the seductive Eliane sets out to corrupt the teenage son of Colonel Montvilliers (André Nader) using similarly perverse methods.
What you will see in this highly charged Sadean journey into sexualdepravity and corruption of the innocent will astound you. Prepare yourself for scenes of masturbation, incest, lesbianism, bondage and all manner of unspeakably depraved sexual acts, together with a grand display of some of the finest lingerie in this classic example of French erotica.
Previously only available in a heavily censored version, DRESSAGE can finally be fully appreciated in its full uncut and explicit sexual glory for the first time in the UK.
The horse version of 'dressage' woukld have been more exciting!

The film is over 20 years old and it shows. One is attracted by the assertion that this is the 'first uncut version' - it implies that there must have been some sexually explicit sections cut out in the previous available version to satisfy the censor at the time. Well if there were, they still don't seem to have been replaced! The story is very simplistic, predictable and rather naive. "The corruption of innocents" again implies - at least to me - scenes of eroticism and a true adult sexual nature. Didn't see any. Technically, the interior scenes were very dark and at times, one really couldn't make out the characters or what was happening. (Wasn't the CD player either!) All-in-all, it was very disappointing.

A naughty '80's gem now issued uncut

Dressage ! For that title, read `Decadence' ! The corruption of the innocent (which is the sub title on the DVD sleeve) takes place in one of those French households where they have butlers & maids and what that rude middle aged head butler gets up to in the `parlour' is extremely naughty! Appropriately enough this release is on the Naughty label & closer inspection reveals that it's another lost gem from Nucleus films !
Now issued in uncut form the sexual shenanigans are explicit without being vulgar due to the artistry of director Pierre B. Reinhard - whenever there are sexual activities there is a lilting semi classical music score & the bright exteriors featuring cars & planes (albeit with nothing rude going on in these sequences!) are backed by a jazz score ! That's original! There are several sex scenes in public places - on a train, in a hallway but nobody displays any embarrassment ! Very Gallic ! Also, total disrobing is done with willing frequency by the actresses !
I enjoyed the pacing & didn't find the dubbing in any way disconcerting - the voice casting is fine.
All told it's an enjoyable Saturday evening's viewing but don't show it to your Auntie Betty, although she might have fond memories of her youth !
