hay people lets talk about this amazing boxset. at first i was not intending on picking this up. i felt it did not have the feel as the american g1 series had, but wasnt i missing out. i dont know why i didnt pick it up earlier. the first series continues after series 4 of the american cartoon, but with a complete different story, you just have to pretend series 4 did not happen. when you watch it you will understand.
not given to much away so i will start on masterforce.
this is probably my favourite of them all. its not like headmasters as in it is continuing from where the previous season left off but more like a chapter, starting form scratch, with a cast full of new characters and girai,(powermaster prime) even though really they are not the same, even though he does look like him. i love overlord in this, probably because i have the rerelease of his figure from 1991. a very good season, i love the junior headmaster too minerva being white and red i wasnt too happy about( wish she had nightbeats colours but oh well).
and victory, this was great also, get to some micromasters which is cool, like masterforce no continuation to the previous season and a cast full of new characters, to be honest i havent finished watching this yet but i am rell enjoying it, and dont star saber like cool. the animation is great in these cartoons, more realstic and the stories are more realistic, with people dying and a dog dying in masterforce. if you are going to pick it up get it off amazon, i seen this in HMV for about £60 and i piked mine up off amazon for £30 and it arrived within a couple of days. also dont let the subtitles spoil it for you, it still great even with them.
Thanks for reading and enjoy if you pick it up.

Good, but Metrodome should know better.Review date: 2008-01-19 Rating: 8 out of 10As the title says, this set is god but Metrodome should have thought about this more clearily. This set is brilliant for those who haven't brought the Takara Collection yet, but for those who have and wanted to see Transformers Zone (which is featured on the 13th disk or rather the last Victory disk in this set only) you can't help but feel a little bit ripped off. They should have added Transformers Zone (which by the way has audio commentery from Transformers fan; Chris McFeely) on the last Victory disk on the seperate set, so that fans who brought the Victory set could at least see this OVA (Orginal Video Animation) for themselves, without resorting to buying this set as well like I did. Well the rest of the sets are the same as their orginal releases by Metrodome. Though Headmasters has the (dreaded) english dub plus episode scripts (DVD-ROM content), but also has the orginal Japanese version and English subtitles, the other two sets just have the Japanese version and English subtitles, and nothing else, apart from 3 audio commenteries per set by Chris McFeely. I think these sets in general could have been better, hopefully Metrodome should have lernt from this. But overall if you haven't brought the Takara Collection yet, then this set is actually better value then buying all 3 sets seperatily, plus you get Transformers Zone, so it is a bargain like it or not.BEWARE IT ONLY 13 DISCS NOT 14 DISCS!Review date: 2007-09-19 Rating: 6 out of 10Just recently purchase the new box set. To my surprise it's just the basic 13 discs. THERE IS NO BONUS DISC.(more like a rip-off, distibutor just cashing in until the new Transformers Movie comeout on DVD) If you own the individual collection (HEADMASTERS, SUPER-GOD MASTERFORCE + VICTORY) best holding on to them. Shame on the distibutor!Scammed... but Happy-ish.Review date: 2007-08-18 Rating: 8 out of 10Not so long ago, This Transformers fan forked out roughly £25 each for the 3 boxset's contained in this bigger boxset! Now that leaves me feeling like I was scammed. And especially as they've included another exclusive episode not available on any other of the sets. What do they expect?! fans to fork out another £45 for one more episode? No thanks!
But on a less annoying note. These series are fantastic, and to anybody who owns the American G1 series, I highly recommend getting this set. Although you'll have to be cool with subtitles.
the best of these series is quite easily Masterforce, however this is the most "anime" transformers has ever been. Headmasters isn't without it's charm though, it's got quite a bit of continuity with the original G1 series, including a lot of characters you'll regocnise. Such as Arcee, and Rodimus Prime. Victory is another good series, but it's not my favourite.
and what's more, in this set you're getting Zone as well. Bargain!
