Over the years Gary Moore has covered a really wide range of musical stylings,some I like, some I don't.
But when he plays the blues in a live setting then he is to my mind
clearly at his very best. I saw him last year on the B.B,King
UK tour and he was the best I've ever seen him.Now to this DVD set,one
word says it all really..WONDERFUL.If you've ever had doubts about his
vocal or guitar ability get this and be ready to change,because in the
five sets here from the full Midnight Blues Band of 1990 to the four
piece of 2001,you get what I truly believe the best blues sets ever from
him.Whether its him or the setting which he clearly loves I don't know,
But,boy this is absolutely from the top drawer and will leave blues and
guitar lovers in raptures....don't miss this totally 5 star classic.

Gary Moore has been the most consistent performer within the Rock Arena for the last 4 decades. He has powered his way through Hard Rock, Fusion Rock, Blues, produced some of the best rock ballades ever and created a powered blues rock style all of his own.(How many guitarists could out do clapton - BBM Around the next dream - Creme with teeth)
This concert footage is testament to one of the best in game. No gimmicks just blistering guitar work that makes you realise why his career has continued when many others have fell into the sell out road of blandness or burnt out. Theres that much stuff on here that it is inevitable some of ths songs are a bit dubious but when you have produced so many albums as this guy there will always be some rough patches. One thing thats never wanes is the quality of the guiart playing and the raw power that you need to witness live to understand. This DVD gets you some where near it.. Crank it up and absorb.
Keep it Mr Moore.

The title speaks for it's self, Gary's various appearance's over a 11 year period are covered on 2 disc's. I'll start with what in my opinion is the least enjoyable set, 1997. This set features songs from a period when Gary chose a musical path other than the Blues, the songs are o.k. but do not highlight what I love about him...his fantastic guitar work. The other 4 sets are what fans expect of Moore in his Blues mode,if you are a fan you know what to expect, if you just like electric Blues this is for you. Material from his Blues albums fill the 1990,95, 99 and 2001 sets and his guitar work is just breathtaking, even when he covers songs associated with Clapton,Green and Hendrix he respects the originals but adds his touchs. Gary Moore is without doubt one of the best guitarists that these shores have produced, he can play Rock,Metal, Blues and of course Parisienne Walkways, When lists are compiled of the BEST guitarists in the .... etc, etc, the likes of Johnny Marr ? always are rated higher, what an absolute joke, Gary Moore is BRILLIANT !! MAKE NO MISTAKE, go see him live and also buy this DVD, he's up there with the Best.
