The Bluetones have been my favourite band for a long time. This for me was a must have album. But for most its one to be avoided. Better quality versions of the songs can be found on other albums.
The album itself is made up of early demos and as such doesnt exactly flow like an album. The sound quality is at times not fantastic. And two versions of the same song is just not called for on an album with only ten tracks.
So strictly speaking the review of this would be 4stars if you love The Bluetones and have an interest in hearing them in their early recordings but more like 2stars if not. Buy 'A Rough Outline' if you are looking for a better view of what the Bluetones are about.
