Fantastic series....Snipes is a tough act to follow but Jones gets into the role and makes it his own. Fantastic cast, great story. Has everything you want...action...suspense, horror (gory at times) and a few laughs here and there. The more DVD sales they have the more chance there is of bringing out the second series so BUY IT NOW...NOW!..

well it has to be said hirst jones does have a tough act to follow and he sure as hell did.

right well first off the whole thing about the girls brother getting killed dragged on soooo much and you hardly seen blade for like 30 mins its like out of that 30 mins u see about 8 mins of him

but about 45 mins u get into it and understand it,i also like how blades childhood is explained in more detaill

it is a good adaption but it drags on a bit with the brother thing

so i have high expectations for the series which is being shown now

if your a die hard blade fan buy this
if you like a kick ass comic hero film get it for the right price
if your looking for something diffrent this isn't really for you

The best series ever!!!!
Review date: 2008-01-15 Rating: 10 out of 10

I've seen this series over and over again and I'm never bored of it. It introduced me to a thrilling world of vampires and history. I never thought I would like this type of series, but it is absolutely great. It is definitely worth buying. Personally I think it is so much better than the movies which seem to be all based around death and sex. The series however has a lot more of a storyline to it. It shows some of Blade's history as well as the histories of various other characters. It is also humourous in an interesting way. Of course, on top of the great storyline, the adictiveness and the humour, there is the usual action, blood and gore. I think all the actors in this are great and it makes it even better that they are not all famous. There also happens to be a few really good looking men in it.
Anyway, it is definitely worth the buy.

Continuation from the films
Review date: 2007-10-19 Rating: 10 out of 10

The series is basically a continuation from where the Blade films left off. After the death of Whistler Blade has new allies in the form of Shen and later Christa, who both help him to fight the vampire house of Chthon. A good thing about the series is they occasionally use clips from the films especially showing Blade's mother. The series also shows us about Blade's origins, his gang past and how he met Whistler and why he started fighting vampire's in the first place. There are also some refernces to the rest of the Marvel comic universe. The series still has the vampire killing, emotion and humour that we saw in the films and delves deeper in to who Blade is.
The series pilot had millions of viewers, but the series finished simply because the production company, Spike TV, ran out of money as Blade was it's first production and therefore the show did not finish due to bad ratings.
It is well worth watching if you love the Blade films and comics or just like vampires, violence and a bit of cool music.
