number three
Review date: 2007-07-18 Rating: 10 out of 10
third dvd in a series collecting the cartoon exploits of beavis and butthead. a hugely popular show in the 1990's, about a pair of highly moronic american teenagers.
This does appear to be the final collection in the series, not least because it features the very final episode ['beavis and butthead are dead'] on it. I hope it's not the case because although this collection takes the number of episodes on dvd up to 122, there's still lots more that aren't available.
But on this collection you get:
42 episodes of the show, spread over two discs. as with the previous two collections, the episodes do not contain the music videos that usually came in the middle of them. whether you like them this way or not is a matter of individual choice. Watch out for the two christmas episodes ' huh huh humbug' 'it's a miserable life' the latter being a wonderful parody of it's a wonderful life, and also watch 'ding dong ditch' in which they play the ring doorbells and run away game. These three are favourites of mine but there's plenty of other wonderful episodes also on there.
on disc three, full of extras, you get the third part of the documentary that charts the story of the show. This is continued from part two which was on the previous collection. There are also fifteen of the aforementioned music videos, complete with commentary from beavis and butthead, and lots of trailers and promotions for other shows and things that they were in, not least a couple of very funny ones for the film version.
Another excellent and comprehensive and a real treat for the fans. I just wish they'd do another one
