I love Happy Days, it takes me back in time! In enjoyed so much watching it and now maybe even more. I have seen all 3 seasons now and I can't wait for the other seasons on DVD. When watching Happy Days I just want to go back in time for real.

Happy Days S1 & 2 Music Content Question

Hello from the states! I have a question for anyone that owns the Region-2 Season 1 & 2 Happy Days sets. Can anyone confirm that the music content (with the exception of the opening themes) is intact in the S1 & S2 sets as originally broadcast in the 70's? My understanding is that the R1 releases are heavily edited regarding the music soundtracks in the S2 set and, I'm assuming this is also true with the R1 S1 set. It is ironic that, in the states, we often see this problem with TV/DVD sets, and in some cases, we don't yet see releases of other shows at all (Rich Man Poor Man, for one example).

It's wonderful to see this classic piece of nostalgic American comedy finally begin to get a DVD release. Season 1 is a great introduction to the characters of The Cunningham family from Milwaukee, and the show's No.1 High School drop-out - Arthur 'The Fonz' Fonzarelli.
"Happy Days" is a very entertaining series with something for everybody to appreciate. It's fascinating to see the development of the whole process of this series throughout from story settings to characterization. Whatsmore you will view 'The Fonz' in his less-than-customary grey windbreaker as opposed to his street-cred black leather jacket at the start of this first season!
Here's hoping CBS/Parammount release all Eleven seasons of this legendary series on DVD, it's certainly a welcome addition and wonderful timeline that pays homage to the rock 'n' roll era.

I was delighted to discover this classic has been brought to DVD. I wasn't even born when this, the first season aired and I'd never seen it on TV. Wonderful moments in the first season include richie getting unintenionally intoxicated while at a friends party, and Potsie and richie have car trouble while trying to impress the girls, needless to say said girls and their fathers are not impressed. A wonderful, heartwarming classic to enjoy again.
