Good old Western

A great series in the style of the good old Westerns! Unfortunately it all ends too soon! Every episode was thoroughly enjoyable from the first to the last.

How I wish!

This series is proof positive of fan power. After Mag7 was axed the fans got busy. The result? Another 11 episodes! Yee-hah! But there is a sense of, 'cut to the chase' throughout this series. Shoe-horning serious themes along with comedic relief doesn't always work. There are some stand out episodes; Vendetta, The Trial, Chinatown and Achilles, are all entertaining, thought provoking episodes. Indeed, all the series 2 episodes are enjoyable, some have more resonnance than others. How I wish there was just one more season that teased out the rest of the questions, and answers. Plus as a Region2 viewer with a Region1 boxset, and a new player that doesn't play Region1, I realise I am biased!

I agree with Susan below. This was a great series and ended way too soon.
The characters were just getting into their own and it had the scope to have many more storylines ..... unfortunately someone pulled the plug on it!! *shakes head*
Oh well, at least we have the DVDs to enjoy again and again!
An Untimely End

And so the axe fell on one of the best shows to come out of american tv in a very long time. It may not have the grittiness of Deadwood but it has more charm than you could shake a stick at! The story lines and characters were just hotting up and some plomker decided to pull the plug. Enjoy what's there....maybe one day someone will talk the cast into a reunion show. We can but hope.
