A true story about a patient who accuses her doctor of rape
Review date: 2008-06-01 Rating: 6 out of 10

This is one of those low budget films that tend to slip by without many people noticing, I picked it up after seeing the trailer for this film.

Kimberley Jansen (Estella Warren) lives in a small town in the USA, she's injured during a fight with her boyfriend and is given a sedative by a doctor at her local hospital, afterwards she starts sufering from flashbacks and accuses the doctor of raping her.

This is no ordinary rape film by any means and Kimberley has to be very mentally strong in order to try to bring the doctor to justice, the doctor has blood samples taken for DNA purposes, I won't say what happens as this'll give too much of the story, but as the process goes on you think to yourself "did this happen?".

This film is well put together, with the leads Estella Warren and John Hannah both putting in very effective performances, the film goes at a good tempo and even when we find out the truth there's still one thing to do, prove it.

To be fair it's more a 3 1/2 then 3, but if you enjoy films like this then I'm sure you'll enjoy this.
