Dissapointed not to see any later episodes. Why are there so few episodes from the mid 80s or even the last episode of crossroads in 1988?

Crossroads will never be equalled. These dvds are absolutely tremendous. The memories come pouring back.
The sets did not wobble at all, the actors forgot occasional lines (but I loved this) and the storylines were a bit woolly at times. Who cares?
A wonderful, wonderful dail serial, well-loved and sorely missed.

Crossroads" the soap that critics loved to knock and the public just loved,is out on a volume 4 DVD.
Network must have been surprised by the popularity of these DVDs as the storyline of Sandy's(Ronger Tonge) accident is spread over three seperate DVD releases,it,would have been ideal if they'd all been on the same DVD.
Its funny seeing Corrie stars Sue Nichols and Johnny Briggs on Crossroads,I also spotted Eastenders actress Gretchen Franlin (Ethel)and Open All Hours actress Lynda Baron.
Jill's(Jane Rossington)custody battle for daughter Sarah-Jane is covered over 2 episodes and particularly enjoyable stories are: Benny(Paul Henry) trying to help young Alison(Carina Wyeth)deal with her controlling bible bashing Uncle(Ivor Salter)and camp chef Shugie(Angus Lennie)trying to compete with super snob chef Mr Booth(David Lawton)
Through all this the great Noele Gordon is in charge with a friendly reassuring smile for all,what the recent Crossroads remakes got wrong,was that,they thought flashy sets and young beatuiful people were enough to make a TV hit,it was the warm funny,real characters that made the orginal Crossroads work for so many.
