Ghost Whisperer is a thought provoking and fascinating show. It's intelligent, upsetting, scary and funny (everything you want from a drama really!) The acting is superb and and the stories compelling. I would definately recommend this to anyone. Season 2 is also brilliant and I am patiently waiting for season 3 to be released on region 2 dvd. It really is one of the best programs on television. Buy it and enjoy. You will not be dissapointed.

Ghost Whisperer : Season 1 [2006]
I think that this first season was brilliant. There are plenty of scenes that make you jump. Jennifer Love Hewitt is excellent as the character of Melinda, a devoted loving wife who owns and works in her own antique shop and also has a gift to help others.The only thing is, this gift she has is to communicate with the dead.
They come to her for help, even though some of them don't always seem to want it.
She helps them with their unfinished business and then in their transition to cross over.I think the storylines are very imaginative and it kinda makes you wonder about what really is out there!!!
If there was such a thing as 0 stars this is the series that woulbe awarded it!

If you like sentimental trash and really bad acting then go ahead, buy this series. If not, buy Firefly, the lost room, heroes, the telletubbies go down south and get trashed... cause really, anything has to be better than this.
The only upside is the fact there are good looking people in it so you get to ogle.

The first season starring and produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt. James Vann Pragh and 'jen' do a great job of throwing scary, sad, melodical emotional, irritatingly spectacular ingredients into a pot creating a series to die for.
Series one focuses around Melinda Gordon, and her husband Jim, and melinda's learning of her gift. Troubles with her mother, mysteries in the village and an exceeptional twist in the series finale make this a must buy!
not a bad little show

this isnt a bad little show at all. it's well acted, jennifer love hewitt is excellent, and can be creepy in places. but, and this is a very big but, it's all a little to simmilar to medium, a far superior show and the stories can get a bit samey. worth watching mainly for the excellent jennifer love hewitt, probably the best thing she's ever done as i've only ever previously thought of her as just eye candy and not much of an actress.
