1975 western from Lucio Fulci
Review date: 2007-11-09 Rating: 8 out of 10
The basic story..Four down on their luck strangers escape a bloody shootout in a violent town and ride off into the frontier. Later they come across a bandit named Chaco and from then on all their lives are changed forever.
Fulci's super bloody western is decent and with "Keoma" and "A man called blade" is the last of the great spaghetti westerns. Fulci's direction is high class as always with style and touch you would only find in a Lucio Fulci film. There are some exciting blood filled shootouts as well as some cruel moments mainly performed by Tomas Milian's (Don't torture a duckling) character Chaco and he's great as the sadistic bandit. It's not all violence though and you get some gentler and tender moments between Fabio Testi's and Lynne frederick's characters amongst all the dust, blood and bullets. In all i'd say this is another winner from Lucio Fulci.
