Great film but why cut!

Shout at the Devil is a super adventure film but ......... this version at 115 mins is too short! Why was it cut from the 144 mins of the original release? Why to many scenes are lost, making the story difficult to follow.
Still a good purchase.

I think this is the third DVD release in the UK for Shout at the Devil. Unfortunately all three are of huge disappointments to fans of this film. All are edited versions of around 115 minutes, and the latest release isn't even in it's original 2.35:1 aspect ratio. I hope there's someone who's willing to do this classic adventure film justice. To finally see the original 144 minutes version would be great. At this moment in time what we have is not unlike a few years back when the same versions were available on video. For a fuller print of this film, try catching this on the BBC. I recall their copy running approximately 10 minutes longer.
