A good storyline that could be real in todays society

The plot is beleivable which makes a change. Big Brother is with us and the outcome of his early actions is predictable and scary for gay guys in these situations. Worth watching more than one time.

Sub Bourne Identity gays vs the establishment stuff. Not terrible by any means, it at least makes you think about how much we are monitored wherever we are. This would have been better with some soft porn which I thought it was grrrr.

filmed on a camera phone in the holidays

This is really poor. The idea of surveillance cameras explaines the constantly changing film stock, the harsh lighting and overall cheap quality. That could be forgiven if the script was either interesting or had some narrative. It doesn't its another ropey cheap quality dvd youv'e never heard of that promises lots and delivers little. I wouldn't recommend it.

A puzzle to solve

I won tickets to see this film earlier in the year as part of a cast and crew screening at the NFT. And on a first viewing I was a bit confused in a couple of places, but watching at again on DVD made everything fall into place. I really enjoyed it, very clever but not something I could fully understand in one viewing - which actually makes it better, because it is worth seeing more than once. The CCTV footage can be a bit annoying at times, but once you're used to it it isn't a problem. Its not a big budget Hollywood moive, its a gritty British independent thriller and it works.

Actually quite good!

This is a clever, and timely, film from the director of the gay classic "Like It Is". This is a more ambitious film in that all of the filming pertains to be done via CCTV or surveillance cameras. Watching the film, I'm not sure if that is true, but it is an interesting concept although it does make the film more difficult to "get into". The acting is good throughout and Tom Harper is thoroughly engaging. The storyline, centring around a royal cover-up, won't please royalists by any means - but is sadly thoroughly believeable.

Don't be put off by the negative reviews that have gone before. This is a fine film. It isn't a blockbuster or mainstream movie, but if you're looking for something a little different but still accessable, this is a nifty, fast-paced thriller.
