When is this action classic going to get a Region 2 release??!!!
Action packed, violent, great stunts & a REALLY good biker vibe!
One of the best of it's type (and let's be honest it's a small genre!) so let's have it please!
It's not at the level of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior but for bikes & car chases & violent gunplay while on wheels then Stallone's 1986 Cobra would be a very fair comparison!
There are some cool actors here; Lance Henriksen (this guy can always make an average movie very watchable) & William Forsythe as the principal biker bad guys. Henriksen's portrayal of the definitive one percenter, Chains is one of his most memorable!
It's worth picking this up on Region 1 at worst if you can PLAY it - I'll have to make do with a decade old VHS tape for now.... :-(

Surprisingly Excellent Film

I have to confess I'd never heard of this film, a friend taped a film for me and it ran through and recorded this as well. It's not a particularly unique story in terms of a tough nut, rebellious cop going undercover plot, but it is exceptionally well done and with so few big names I'd heard of when I first saw it. You've got to love Sam McMurray who plays Bosworth's contact, reconisable for playing Chandler's boss in 'Friends'.
Joe Huff is blackmailed into going undercover in a violent biker gang called "the Brotherhood". He shows off a bit of muscle and gang leader "Chains", a surprise role for Lance Henrikson (Bishop in Aliens), accepts him all too easily into the fold. The overall plot is vengeance on a judge, they set out to 'crack the whip' and the finale focuses around his courtroom where a member of the Brotherhood is on trial. There are maybe one or two all too predictable subplots such as the love interest, betrayal and no end of violence, but the film has some great characters and is well worth watching.
I am so glad I asked my friend to tape the film on before this that fateful night and the tape over-ran, you rarely get a film this good on TV let alone two in a row. Normally when I consider buying a DVD the film or series appears on TV within a few months, fingers crossed.............
