Synopsis
A high school American football coach (played by actor/director Alex Kendrick) uses some unorthodox methods to motivate his team in FACING THE GIANTS. A devoted Christian, the coach turns to God for inspiration, with amazing results.

Facing the Giants is more like a Sermon than a film and most of the dialogue belongs in the church not on the screen. Basically what this film is saying that if you ignore God than you'll lose every football game, however, if you say a few prayers, read the bible etc you'll win the state championship, WHAT?? This film is ridiculous, the acting is bad and some of the scenes are so cringeworthy and uncomfortable. I would avoid this film - if you can call it that, as to me it's more like a glorified preach.

I was stuck on a bus for 13 hours being the only person to speak English I was at a disadvantage as the film is in English. It was unbearable, honestly I'm not a christian but even if i were i would never chose to watch this. It was ridiculously predictable, cringeworthy to be honest i think they should have paid me.
I'm angry i had to give it any stars this is how much the film upset me.

An excellent film, and the best Christian film I've seen. It has a strong message of faith overcoming fear, but in the context of American football which is very watchable, and it's good to see such good and wholesome viewing in an age where films so many films seem to focus on violence/sex. A very good one for youth in particular!
A quality christian movie?

Just when you thought that the only kind of movie church people could make was a badly acted, poor production values, cringemaking bomb, someone comes along who turns that all upside down. This is a genuinely moving story, well made, excellent production values, as well as being highly entertaining. You'll laugh, cry...well just buy the movie and find out for yourself. I've actually bought extra copies to give away.

It was an excellent film on all levels!!! A tremendous and outstanding movie with excellent visual imagery and sound storytelling. The audience I viewed it with were completely rooted to their seats and would not move until the film was finished!! For a movie produced on such a small budget coming out this good is nothing short of a glorious miracle in and of itself. I would encourage anybody to buy it and see their life changed for the better. If anything you will be inspired with a new level of hope and faith in Life again.
