i think this film is good riddick is a charecter who has so much potential and if you like that and the universe that is in its infacy of creation then you will not be dissapointed by this film watch pitch black first so you know who riddick is, if u like action sci fi i dont see how you will not like. alot has been sed about vin diesels acting this is his charecter he isnt vin diesel he's riddick he isnt a talkative fella who has deep relationships he's a convict who wants to be left alone and he does a good job of conveying that with riddicks attitude which is a guy who is a survivor of his race who were slaughterd. a very good film its a shame it got bad reviews i just hope they carry on the story despite it not been a box office hit. the extras are good on this but this is the first hd dvd i own so ive not got anything to compare it to.

First of all a warning:
Lots of people seem to hate this film so maybe i have no taste!!!
I like the film's whole feel. The worlds and characters created are good to look at and there is always a feel that there is a back-story to almost everything captured.
In HD everything on the screen jumps out at you and draws you in.
Ok so Vin isn't the best actor and the lack of back-story at some points does leave a few to many questions. Also any sort of reference to Pitch Black seems much to contrived.
As i said before i really like this film and would certainly recommend this to anyone with an open mind, just don't expect too much!!
