Yes, but...

It's great to have the quality of DVD and the Log Lady Intros, but I noticed a spooky moment with Bob appearing in a rug had been excised, which made me wonder what else has been cut and just why I bothered.

B Is For BoringReview date: 2008-01-23 Rating: 4 out of 10Anything I wrote about the first season dvd goes the same for here... except it gets worse.
On the first episodes the story continues from where it left off, invastigating the death of Laura Palmer. Finally the killer is exposed at episode 7 or so, but clever viewers have found his/her identity somewhat earlier I guess :)
After that, blank.
There are about 10 episodes left and you ask yourself, why keep on watching the series now that the story is complete? No really, why? Well, the clever writers started building up a new story, but by the time I realised what was the question, I got the answer. Well, not exactly an answer but the series ended anyway. The second half of the second series gets weirder than ever, and while I like weird stuff (after all I love X-Files and Lost), I didn't quite got all the missing pieces together, neither I bothered too much to do so.
All in all, the first episodes of the second season are good, but worse than the first season, while the later (which are far more), are booooring.Timeless ClassicReview date: 2007-10-04 Rating: 10 out of 10David Lynch was always a favourite of ours, but this DVD set is just out of this world. Thought provoking, multi-layered, genius TV. This one's in a league of its own. Unmissable. Sure, it's wierd at times and totally leftfield, but it is also touching, creepy, hilariously funny and an unadulterated feast of eye candy. Few series have such a variety of characterisation - some are soap-opera shallow, some are psychotically deep. Lynch's willingness to let go of the director's reins and let a bunch of other talents in on the action just adds to the texture in this dstunning tapestry. And David Lynch's own appearances are quite wonderful.
Waited a long time for this, as I was abroad when it was first shown on telly. It's priceless.
THANKS MR LYNCH!! LOVE YA!!Why Oh Why?Review date: 2007-10-03 Rating: 10 out of 10This series was nothing short of a classic. I cannot add to what has already been said accept this. Considering all the utter rubbish that is released on DVD, I find it astonishing that the full episodes of Twin Peaks are not available in PAL format.
Like the Avengers before it, it seems the USA is wholly privileged in this regard.DELICIOUSLY WEIRD!Review date: 2007-09-27 Rating: 10 out of 10Sure, everyone has his/hers favorite TV shows, and preferences shift with seasonal mood, age and experiences. However, THIS IS TELEVISION AT HER BEST!
Atmospheric, mysterious, intriguing, smart,...Words are just not capable to describe this prematurely terminated series! Every time I watch it I discover another moment, another gem I treasure. Too bad it got treated as filler material resulting in its eventual cancellation.
The quality of the second season set is not exactly at par with the first: much less extra material (I was hoping for the spin-off commercials, especially the Japanese ones!). Yet the episodes are beautifully treated: image and sound do them justice.
After all, it is the episodes we bought it for.
Buy it and make weekends out of it. Once in a blue moon a certain magic manifests amongst us. One that never fades.
And there is always music in the air.
How do I know? A gentle giant told me.
