Synopsis
Once upon a time, Jill (Farrah Fawcett), Sabrina (Kate Jackson), and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) were just everyday police officers with routine desk jobs. But when mysterious millionaire Charles Townsend takes them away from it all to work at his own private detective agency, their lives become infinitely more adventurous. In this, the second season, Cheryl Ladd joins the cast as Jill's sister, Kris Monroe--taking the place of Fawcett, who left to pursue a film career.
"Hey, little sister!" Kris Monroe joins the fold.

Season 2 finally gets a region 2 release! Despite the iconic Farrah Fawcett now missing from the line up, this was the season that cemented Charlie's Angels status as a force to be reckoned with, as it proved it could go on without her. Season 2 has a stellar set of episodes, and Cheryl Ladd proved critics wrong by putting in an enthusisastic and energetic portrayal as Jill's little sister Kris, and would go on to become the 2nd longest serving angel (after Jaclyn Smith), staying right through the end of the show after Season 5. As great as this set is I have 2 major grievances. Firstly, there are no extras whatsoever. OK this is an old tv show and everyone already knows all the behind the scenes stories to death, but a few little interviews or featurettes would have been nice. Granted, the likelihood of getting Kate Jackson would have been low, but Cheryl and Jaclyn would've done it! Secondly, the set has the 2-part versions of the double length episodes "Angels in Paradise" and "Angels on Ice". Having seen most of the episodes on various tv stations over the last few years (Channel 5, Granada Plus, and more recently UK Gold), they all play the split up versions of the episodes (even in cases where they are ran back to back), and I was really looking forward to viewing the episodes as they were intended to be seen.
These minor problems aside, this set is definitely worth getting your hands on. Any newcomers to Angels who are unsure whether to carrying on watching with the loss of Farrah, I urge you to give it a go. If, by the end of "Angels in Paradise" Cheryl hasn't won you over, then there's seriously something wrong with you!
Altogether now : "Good Morning Charlie!!!"
