a good film in the series
Review date: 2007-03-20 Rating: 6 out of 10
carry on regardless is a 1961 movie that is a sign of the times in some ways, more slapstick than later carry ons and a sense of comedy of old rather than the risque material that they dipped their toes into in later years, this has a real feel of comedy from the time in that its quite innocent and filled with a sense of goodness, there is little here to warrant the eyebrow being raised at the implied rather than the straightforward.
The film has a good cast, and is the first movie that liz fraser woiuld make in the series, sid james opens up a helping hands agency that people could ring to do simple tasks for them, kenny connor, joan sims and kenny williams all get into mishaps as peoples orders are rarely as straightforward as they think and with that is a simple and amusing carry on that ticks alot of the required boxs except the box that makes the carry on film legendary, the use of double entrendre, more a sign of the more blocked minds of society than a case of taking a risk.
