The dancing is great.
Review date: 2008-06-18 Rating: 8 out of 10
When i first saw these films in the 50s, i was really impressed, ( Well, i was 17 ) Now having seen them almost 50 years later, what can i say. "Rock around the clock" stands the test of time the best, the story is corny but the dancing, it is wonderful, i fast forward just to see the dancing. ( Oh, if only i could have danced like that ). The groups and the music, great. "Don,t knock the rock", well, i must admit it was a little bit cringe time and at times downright embarrasing but what do you expect from cheap budget. It was the music, the groups, and the dancing what saved it. Because you lived through it, you have got to have it. Today, a teenager would not give it the time of day. It will remain what it is, a curiosity.
