Pretty good film

First of i have to mention, it is definetely best to buy this film in hd dvd, for starter it makes the experience of this film greater. Plus its the reason why i gave it an extra star for the review, otherwise i would of given the film a 3 star rating. The hd experience makes the cars look great and the action seems much better. I have seen this in dvd format too and hd dvd version is better, has more features too, many more features.
Overal the story is predictable but in a good way, this will appeal to people under 25, or into cars in a big way.

Well i was tempted to buy this product but judging from the price i was instaneously turned off, instead i rented it from love film.com (brilliant service, highly reccommended) and as far as i know this is a truly great HD release.
Of course we all know the typical fast and the furious style, slap some highly tuned cars in mixed with some fresh 18 year old models wearing little less then a there underwear and some mediocre actors, and theres your film, overall the film was your typical sports car movie, although i admired the filmakers choice to shoot in tokyo and experience a different culture as well as the drifting side of racing, this movie fits into the relaxing with a box of popcorn style summmer blockbuster hit.
However the quality of the video is fantastic, the colours all contrast perfectically, the source material must have been shot perfectically as every shot in this movie is perfect and clear.
And as well as the video quality, whats not to like about the losless audio included with this release, amazing is the only word, when the cars engine revs, you can hear its roar, or the screeching of a car drifting around the corner at 70mph makes you feel like youre right next to the rubber burning of the tire.
In conclusion, as much as the story is lacking, its nice to relax to and watch for the pure escapism, and on the HD front, this title shows just what a new format is capable of acheiving, the only TRUE HD audio track which beats this is troy.
