a great tv western series
Review date: 2008-03-17 Rating: 10 out of 10
I really love this tv series. It was based around the movie,Young Guns to get the younger teenage auidience.
However, its a lot more than just a teen western series.Anthony Zerbe is featured as old Teaspoon the man in charge of the young pony express riders.Josh Brolin plays Hickock and Stephen Baldwin plays Cody.Yes,they are[loosely]based on Wild Bill and Buffalo Bill.
Theres plenty of action and its a western full of hart and honour in the west. Its up there with Alias Smith and Jones and The High Chapparal as a classic series.

Excellent wild west seriesReview date: 2007-05-05 Rating: 10 out of 10I brought this series on a whim. I'd never seen it on TV before here in the UK but became aware of it through a friend.
I can honestly say it was worth the price, the characters are interesting, the locations brilliant. For once this is not a wild west that is clean, its dusty, it's hard and perhaps this show is what paved the way for grittier west shows like Deadwood. Having said that it is over 10 years old, which you will notice on occasion but very rarely.
What does speak volumes is the loyal fans who even after 10 years continue to talk, and write about it on the internet. The same thing can not be said for some shows currently being aired.
I recommend buying this show, and if at all possible please buy it new. I like everyone else who has watched it are now praying that season 2 & 3 are released but this will only happen if there is a market.
