Series 3 is in the post already - can I say more?
Review date: 2007-10-18 Rating: 10 out of 10

Another thrilling ride into the past - and another series that I totally loved! Can't wait for the rest to come.

Suspend all disbelief and settle back for a ride into the past! This series continues the amazing fun of its predecessor - light hearted, but FUN. I ordered it even before I had finished watching series 1, and have had trouble limiting myself to 2 or 3 episodes at a time - it's been soooo addictive!

As with the first series, don't expect to be convinced by it, just as you don't expect to be convinced by James Bond, Harrison Ford and by a great many more 'up-to-date' films and DVDs. just relax and enjoy it! The characters are just as good as you will remember from the past, and the adventures they get into are FUN!

Ok - so it's incredible (in the trues sense of the word) that the same small group of Americans can infiltrate themselves into a range of different nations and can be classed as locals - but forget about that! Forget about the fact that it seems dated - just enjoy the history, the drama and the characters! Enjoy the naivety of it all, and relax!!!

I enjoyed it so much that I have gone on to order series 3, and will continue to order any others as they come out!!!! It's WAY better than the recent films with Tom Cruise - for all the extra technology they have been allowed to employ, and inspite of his looks!

I just have to ask myself one question. How could they possibly turn Jim Phelps into a baddy when they made the film?

Series 2 - Gets Better
Review date: 2007-06-24 Rating: 10 out of 10

Having thoroughly enjoyed S1, S2 just gets better - more intiriguing and complicated plots and more of the regulars completing their missions together.

As in S1, my favourite is Cinnamon Carter. She has more to do in this series as well.

Forget about Tom Cruise's laughable efforts and concentrate on the original. In most cases the best and it is most certainly in the case of the TV series. One of the all time classics that will be watched over and over again.

Better than any Tom Cruise's Missions
Review date: 2007-05-29 Rating: 10 out of 10

I fondly remember watching this series on TV and kept boring my kids with how good they were. We saw the Mission Impossible films and was sadly disappointed. We couldn't wait for the original series on DVD.
Now we watch them over and over again and then watch them on Sky!
This is the business.

Roll on series 3,4,5,6 and 7!
Review date: 2007-05-12 Rating: 10 out of 10

The first series was excellent.
But it gets better and better as they find their feet.

As with the first box set there are no extras at all to get in the way, no commentaries or flim flam just one of the best series ever made, presented perfectly without any messing about.

I'm having an excellent time reading Patrick White's book and all it's insights whilst watching this classic series. If you can get hold of the book I recommend it as much as the series themselves. It's better than any DVD extras I've ever seen and properly researched.

This series with the loss of aloof genius Dan Briggs and with the introduction of the determined and resourceful Jim Phelps just gets better and better perfecting the missions of the first series and adding even more ideas.

Basically it just doesn't get any better than this!
