Knight Rider Fans... This is the Box Set You've Been Waiting For!
Review date: 2007-02-15 Rating: 10 out of 10

Being a big fan of the Knight Rider series, I've always loved the show all these years. Here is what I think of the box set.

GOODS

- The quality of the picture is very good. Nothing to complain about the Audio quality as well. Fantastic work on the digital transfer, considering the fact that the show is shot over 25 years ago.

- Plenty of bonus features included; almost on each disc.

- Each disc is safely stored in a regular DVD case.

- Nice artwork, as you can see from the Amazon photo, the image of the car is spreaded over all the 26 DVD cases.

NOT SO GOODS

- The box set is BIG; the set only has 26 DVDs but takes almost twice the space as my X-Files box set which has 59 DVDs!

- There is an error occured in the chronological order of the episodes. In the first season, the first three episodes come in the last discs of the season which disturbs the flow of the storyline.

If you are a Knight Rider fan who doesn't have a space problem and willing to findout the correct order of the episodes from the box set, you don't have a single reason not to buy this product. At this price, this piece of classical 80s American TV is a steal! Go for it!!

This is a perfect way for people to get into the spirit of the eighties. I was only born at the very end of the eighties and didn't get to experience things such as Knight Rider at the time, but these DVD releases have enabled me to do that.

The packaging is practical and the DVDs form a picture of KITT which is a plus. The DVDs themselves contain a number of special features which is always a plus. Picture quality is good, sound is fantastic and the stories just as enjoyable as ever. I particularly like the menus with the music and whatnot.

The price might be a bit hefty for a first time Knight Rider, but for somebody who enjoys the series it's perfect. Excellent value.

Awesome set !!

Simply Amazing

This box set is simply awesome. Limited to 400, 00 copies. The set is great, but buyer be warned, some disc may have minor scratches and fingerprints on them. I can only assume that this happened in the packing process

However the discs play fine. As it is limited and they don't, best advice is to pop down to your local DVD rental shop and they should be able to repair it for you for a nominal fee. Trust me that is the best solution as most shops will insist you watch the discs first and only then if faulty will take it back (There is no way you can watch all the 80+ Episodes in 28 days

Woolworths is like that as to is HMV.

However the set is fantastic and most DVD players will be able to read through the scratches. Enjoy it is fantastic and in time will become a collectors item

ONE MAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Knight Rider which debued in 1983 has to be one of the best if not THE best of the 1980's hi-tech gadget series of the era. After all we had , Airwolf , Blue Thunder, Automan , StreetHawk and no doubt even more !. But Knight Rider with it's super computer car K.I.T.T the knight Industries 2000 was the ultimate. Driven by ex-cop Michael Long to become Michael Knight for F.L.A.G the Foundation for Law and Government. KITT was built by Wilton knight a mega rich industrialist to help fight crime on the streets of America. Michael becomes the lone crime fighter with the help of KITT and Devon Miles who heads up FLAG with Bonnie Barstow who tends to KITT.
Over the four series Michael and KITT fight all sorts of crime from Evil Garth Knight to KARR. KITT has many upgrades over the 85 episodes and in the final fourth season gets a convertible top. This is a very memorable series and even got one TV movie spin-off included in this set where the 'Knight four Thousand'was brought in to replace the 1983 Trans-Am that the car is based on. K.I.F.T was a re-built Mitsubishi 3000 , but the car and the idea failed to catch on to be made into a new series. Of this set there are some extras but not extensive , this is still a must buy for the fan or even new young viewers.
