A Touch Of Frost - Series 6-12 is a fourteen disc box set containing the complete collection of episodes from series 6 to series 12 of this award-winning cops and crime drama. The show is based on the novels by R. D. Wingfield, and David Jason stars in the lead role of gruff and tough Detective Inspector Jack Frost. He is joined by Bruce Alexander (who plays the incredibly officious Superintendent Norman Mullett), Blake Ritson (as DC Robert Presley, aka Frost's sidekick), and John Lyons (DS Toolan, another colleague). Set in a fictitious and dreary town called Denton, "A Touch of Frost" contains a good dose of humour. Each episode features plots related to violence and/or murder and Frost's pursuit of the ladies is another fairly regular sub-plot in the show. A widowed, cranky work-addict, Frost is constantly under pressure to meet targets and keep bosses in the division off his back--particularly Superintendent Norman Mullett, who is fastidious when it comes to doing things 'by-the-book'. Mullet (nicknamed "Horn-rimmed Harry" by Frost) is obsessed with following rigid policies, while Frost prefers to let himself be guided by his innate copper instinct. Mullet abhors the regular habit Frost has of breaking the rules--like when he searches suspects' homes without a warrant--and becoming emotionally involved in cases. But there isn't a whole lot he can do about it, seeing as Frost earned the respect of the Chief Constable when he received the George Cross for Bravery. The constant run-ins between the two definitely provide for some comic moments in this award-winning series.

Below is a full list of what the box set contains although going by my records
' Endangered Species ' was marked down as ' Series 13 ' but its contained within this box set so don't waste your money buying it twice.
The only episode that has not been released is ' In the Public Interest ' which may be listed as Series 14 { or Series 13 if its from the same production Company. }
If you bought A Touch Of Frost - Series 11 And 12 ASIN: B000BAZDJC then you will be missing ' Endangered Species ' as I suspect they intend to sell a Series 13 and 14
which would be ' Endangered Species ' and ' In the Public Interest '
Clearly someone at ITV DVD has got mixed up - I just hope that you have spotted this error.

This collection continues from where the 'series 1 - 5 pack' left off. This is wonderful entertainment, that brings you right up to date. It is very difficult not to like Frost, a very human, down to earth individual who is only interested in the truth and moral justice.
This has a real 'feel good' factor to it, which is mainly due to most of the original cast still being intact. David Jason, Bruce Alexander, John Lyons etc, all continue to excel, in what many consider to be one of the greatest TV detective series ever. In truth only Inspector Morse can anywhere near the standards and popularity of this.
At the time of writing, I understand the first episode of 'Series 13' has already been filmed.

The serie is absolutely wonderful, entertaining and full of fun. This 6-12 series edition has english subtitles.

I adore Frost and own seasons 1-4 already... I have a question, though... Do these DVDs have the possibility of English subtitles?? English is not my first language and it would help for certain expressions.
