I thought Johnny and the Bomb was wonderful. I watched it because I have been a fan of Zoe Wanamaker for over 10 years and, while I wasn't sure what to make of this to begin with, I was won over with the excellent acting by all and the story.

Poor adaptation, read the book.

I was very disappointed in this. They turned the plot around so that it doesn't make sense, the story loses most of the charm of the book and it's terribly miscast, particularly Zoe Wannamaker. Really, don't bother, read the book, which is delightful.
