Past its peak, but still well worth a look

The first three series of Drop The Dead Donkey (2-3 in particular) are some of the best British sitcom ever. Although later series saw a dip in quality, that has more to do with the extremely high quality of what preceded it. It would be very difficult to maintain such high quality, but Series 5 still has its fair share of very funny moments, as well as some more pathos as the characters are fleshed out that bit more. As always, the cast is a joy to watch.
One criticism is that it's a shame that there weren't any extras. With cast interviews featured on previous series' release, they would be pretty redundant here, but some cast/writer commentaries would have been particularly welcome.
One interesting element of watching this series for me was looking at how the Tories are satirised just months before they were voted out of government (oh, how we cheered). It's a little bittersweet, though, given the people we voted in so happily seem to be on their last legs now.
Come on, Guy and Andy, it'd be interesting to see what Helen, George and the gang would have to say about this administration.
