Staring Liz Smith, Robin Bailey and the late great John Comer (Sid - Last of the Summer Wine) it revolves around the bizarre members of the Brandon family.
As I have said in one of my other reviews "The sharply scripted characters of Uncle Mort, Annie, Les, Carter, Liz and Uncle Stavely take the archetypical northern family and propel it into a further dimension of comedy." and I see no reason to change my views.
A truly archetypal British comedy show that would leave any american viewer gasping for explanation at virtually every line.
Superb stuff from beginning to end
