You just don't see the end comming sometimes, even though you do, because it's an occult.
I think the way how it was written and shot and also cast, is what makes this really fun to watch, if you're in to that sort of thing.
This DVD has some really great extra features from the career of Rod Serling.

Imagination ive never encountered beforeReview date: 2008-02-18 Rating: 10 out of 10I imagine, having to explain to my friends what the Twilight Zone is when i rave about it; that the shows fan base is not usually teenage. Its such a shame, because if a show like this was on tv when i was 12-13 it probably would have been my favourite show for years now.
Watching this show you encounter it seems the formula for most Sci-Fi programmes. The story lines are Origional and always keep you guessing, and i feel like the programmes sheer quality gives it a real gravity, making you want to return again and again and delve into the wonderful world of imagination.. in the twilight zone. The AtmoshereReview date: 2008-01-25 Rating: 8 out of 10Love these mysterious little story worlds and atmospheres.
I used to watch these exquisite short films many years ago and I am glad to feel the same "atmosphere" from them unlike some other films that loose it over time.
They have an aged yet timeless quality some better than others but worthwhile watching.
Definatly stories to relax late evening
True classics and we are working our way through the whole collection to view once in a while when "The atmosphere" is called for. This amazing programme is as timeless as infinityReview date: 2007-06-05 Rating: 10 out of 10Although I have always heard of it (most people probably have) and seen some episodes from the 80's colour version aswell as the most recent version, I have only got round to watching this amazing original version for the first time ever in the correct order since I bought this DVD boxset. I had only previously seen a few clips of episodes at random years ago on someone elses sky T.V., I think it was on the sci-fi channel. Anyway this programme may be a long time before I existed, but I have said this before and I will say it again, when a programme is this good, it really doesn't matter to me how old or new it is. It has to be at the very least, some of the most imaginative story tellying I have ever seen. Whether they are creepy, funny, strange or however you want to describe them, they are all just as imaginative as each other and there is plenty of variety (36 to be exact on this first season), for example there is one episode involving a man who has an obsession with reading things (even something as simple as this, how many programmes today would even think of such a lead character) and an extremely cruel twist of fate at the end. Rod Serling had such a distinctive voice (very relaxing) which only adds to my enjoyment of this programme, I also really love the way he introduces each story and particularly his unique way in which he puts words together.
So if like me you like enjoyable stories with the imagination that most modern programmmes can only dream about and want to watch something that is as timeless as infinity then you won't find anything better than this.
One last thing for anybody that might be interested, this boxset includes a few extras for example, footage of Rod Serling picking up some awards and about fifteen minutes of footage from some game show called The Liars Club with Rod Serling as host, personally I have never heard of it but I am sure that some of you older and wiser people will have.
