Wow! This is such good fun, both series have been excellent.
All family can enjoy this on different levels.

Both series are so underated but are classics in my household (can't wait for the recent Christmas special to come out on DVD). Very cringey at times but made so funny by the fantastic cast - Ben Miller plays the part so well you start to wonder if he's that unlucky in real life.

The Worst Week of My Life is a British comedy television series, first broadcast on BBC One between March and April 2004. A second series was aired between November and December 2005 and a three-part Christmas special, The Worst Christmas is being shown over Chrimbo 2006 and they were one of the best things on.
The second series takes place in the week leading up to the birth of Howard and Mel's first baby, and Howard has not yet shaken off the fate inexorably attached to him. During the course of the week he was accused of sexual harassment at work; been mistakenly arrested for 'dogging'; and toasted his father-in-law Dick's CBE on a barbecue. Despite Howard knocking out the midwife, the series ended with the birth of a baby girl.
The series works on the theory that if it can go wrong then, oh boy, it will. The casting is superb as is the acting. Howard Steel is played by comedian and actor, Ben Miller and Mel by Sarah Alexander seen in the BBC Two comedy Coupling. Established actors Alison Steadman, remembered for Abigail's Party and as Mrs Bennet in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice plays Angela, Mel's mother and wife of Dick Geoffrey Whitehead.
great second series

This second series of this great British comedy was brilliant. Even funnier and more excruciating than the first one. In this series Howard is married but his wife is about to give birth and there is disaster after disaster - like when they get their dream house and it doesn;t exactly go according to plan. You just feel so sorry for Howard but it makes great TV and I can't wait to get my hands on this DVD.
