Bloody, Brutal and downright fantastic
Review date: 2008-11-28 Rating: 10 out of 10
This is a pure chunk of proof that you dont need to see people having their guts ripped out and eaten to have an engaging death scene. This film is just unbelievably brutal and shockingly realistic. The killer has substance and great lines plus the kids are likeable. Believe me, stick this in your DVD player and you wont stop watching until the credits role!

wqolfd creekReview date: 2008-11-15 Rating: 2 out of 10What a load of cobblers, for a start it was supposed to take place in Western Australia but in fact was filmed thousands of kilometres away in South Australia, it is supposed to be based on fact but how come no-one in Australia read anything about all these murders in the papers.
The really big mistake they made was when the sole surviver was rescued and taken to hospital, if anyone cares to check a map of Western Australia they will find that he was picked up close to Halls Creek in the Kimberly region, and then driven, in a kombi van, two thousand four hundred and fifty kilometres, passing probably seven hospitals, then taken about sixty k's off the highway to the coast to Kalbarri, all in a couple of hours.
Go figure.
Brian from Australia.Top quality horrorReview date: 2008-11-09 Rating: 8 out of 10Although you could argue that this falls into the recent spate of torture-porn films, in fact its vastly superior to all of these. Yes it follows the old pattern of young good-looking people getting into trouble, but it does it with a verve and style that is missing form say Hostel and Capture.
The main reason it works is because some time is spent developing the characters in the first half of the film. So when things start to go bad for the innocent trio you do have some sympathy with the nightmare that they find themselves in.
Another important point is that this is not a Hollywood movie and as a result it does not do what Hollywood movies do. In the last 1/3 of the film there quite a few unpleasant surprises which you wouldn't get in a Hollywood film.
It is supposed to be based on a true story, although there may have been some artistic licence. Nevertheless even if its only 50% true the events portrayed are truly nightmarish. If you are a fan of horror films you'll like this a lot, otherwise I'd advise caution! Don't Watch It AloneReview date: 2008-07-25 Rating: 8 out of 10We are a fairly hard to please viewing group, but all of us were gripped by this film. Due to it's element of true story, it wasn't at all predictable. The music was subtle, the scenery sublime. Characterisations were much above the usual horror stereotypes. Some of our group had to put hands over eyes or look away. Very shocking in parts. Not one to watch with children! Or alone!mehReview date: 2008-06-06 Rating: 2 out of 10dull,bland,boring and predictable this is overated tripe, this is is a complete and utter waste of time
