This is a four disk set, region 1 featuring 24 great episodes. Two episodes Fever and mind games were filmed for season 3 but held over untill season 4, this is why they appear on the season 3 and 4 DVD sets. I guess Lionsgate didn't want any more complaints after the sydication thing. And yep these episodes still have a couple of minutes cut out of them. Average running time for each episode is 21.30 (some are shorter) that's missing about 1.30 per episode. This set is recorded in Dolby 2.0 and has a great remastered picture. The menu screens feature all new Alf footage as he tries to sell you a mobile phone. This isn't as good as previous menu footage although there's a hidden easter egg on disc 4 that's quite funny. To find it push down on one of the episodes, I think it's the first episode on that disc. A message will appear that says babe magnet and all new footage of Alf audioning women for a new (fictional) reality show can be watched. It's short like the episodes. Like previous seasons Alf will tell you about each episode if you click on the question mark. The set can't be faulted and if the episodes were intact these Alf DVD's would be some of the best DVD releases ever. Must own episodes include Alf becoming addicted to cotton, gambling the Tanners money away on the stock market, wondering what will happen when everyone grows old, starting his own religion (Oh, Barry for the grace of God kiss kiss lol) and the season finale Consider me gone. There's other classics too! Btw the last episode is resolved in the TV movie Project Alf available on DVD. There was supposed to be a season 5 but the network couldn't afford to make it, they went back on their word to make a one hour special which would tie the lose ends up. Four stars instead of 5 for the syndication thing. Still waiting for Alfs hit talk show on DVD Paul if you're reading this...
